Morning Presentation: Adult Learning Styles;  Small Group Facilitation Skills (with Joan Doyle)

Afternoon Presentation: Overview of the Lectionary for Mass; Introduction to Lectio Divina
Afternoon Practice: Sample Lectio Divina Group A:  Lectionary for “Baptism of the Lord, Year C”
Sample Lectio Divina Group B:  1 Cor 12–13, or 1 Sam 1, or Mark 1
Assignment: Sign up to lead sample Scripture Sharing groups this Spring:
* groups of 8; two facilitators each time; everyone facilitates once from Feb. to May
* facilitators for Feb. choose biblical text for Scripture Sharing focus
February 6, 2010 (at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Grand Terrace)
Morning Presentation: Introduction to Biblical Resources and Programs, esp. LRSS (with Cliff Yeary)
Special Workshop: Little Rock Scripture Study (8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.; cost $10 for lunch) - FLYER

Afternoon Practice: Sample Lectio Divina Group (led by student 1): 1 Cor 15, Luke 5, or Lectionary Readings
Assignment: Form facilitation teams for Summer/Fall Scripture Sharing Group
* choose a partner to form teams of two (or at most three) facilitators
* start planning where (home? parish? other?) and when you want to conduct your Scripture Sharing

Assignment: Submit 1-page overview of your Summer/Fall Scripture Sharing Group
* list the basic logistics: leaders? location? dates/times? participants? publicity/recruitment?
* propose the content: which biblical book or topic; which study/sharing method will you use?
* mention your resources: bibliography & resources, for facilitators & all participants?

Afternoon Practices: Sample Scripture Sharings (led by students 4&5):  Some Readings for Easter, Year C
Assignment: * List your overall schedule, and what biblical content you will cover in each or your group’s sessions
* Submit a detailed description (2-3 pages) of one session of your Summer/Fall Scripture Sharing Group
(schedule, who does what, hospitality, environment, sacred space, prayer, etc.)
* Arrange for an Evaluation Visit of one of your sessions by one of the CBI Team members or alumni
* Arrange to visit and observe a session of one of the other Scripture Sharing groups.
